Early this morning, Apple pushed out the iOS 16 Beta 4 update for Developer Preview users. Users who have already installed the iOS 16 beta file can directly open Settings - General - Software Update, and update to the latest iOS 16 Beta 4.

The package size of this update is around 1.6G and the updated version number is (20A5328h). It has been 21 days since the last Beta 3 update, and according to Apple's official update notes, this iOS 16 Beta 4 version is still focused on bug fixes and system optimizations.

This iOS 16 Beta 4 also brings a lot of feature updates, including: lock screen interface notifications, iMessage edit/undo changes, CarPlay/home new wallpapers and so on.

It is reported that Apple has changed the withdrawal/editing time limit for iMessage messages in iOS 16 Beta 4 from 15 minutes to 2 minutes (just like WeChat), and also allows users to re-edit up to 5 times, with each edit visible to the recipient.

Not just iMessage time limit, Apple has also added a time limit to unsend emails. In the previous beta the time limit for unsending was 10 seconds, but in Beta 4 users are offered the options of 10, 20 and 30 seconds.

Lock screen notification has also received a new update, allowing users to view how message notifications are displayed. Users can choose the appropriate message notification display based on their personal habits. The music playback screen under the lock screen has also been changed, the fonts for song and volume progress bars as well as buttons and song titles are thicker than before.

iOS 16 Beta 4 also adds a number of new wallpapers to the Home app and CarPlay. New wildflower and architecture wallpapers have been added to the Home app, while some new iOS 14 15 16 default wallpapers have been added to CarPlay.

These are the general updates to iOS 16 Beta 4, and although there are quite a few new features, none of them actually have much impact on us.
